QUESTIONS
What is the largest Circle Light available?
Our standard Circle Light can be produced up to Ø: 59.06″ (150 cm). For large architectural projects such as hotel lobbies, atriums, and staircases, we can create custom rings up to Ø: 78.74″ (200 cm) using a segmented internal structure for easier transport and installation.
Can the size and hanging height be customized?
Yes. The diameter, profile depth, and hanging height can all be customized independently. This allows us to keep even very large rings visually elegant and proportionate to the space.
How are large Circle Lights reinforced?
Large rings require a concealed internal support structure to maintain their shape. Depending on the material and size, we use steel or aluminum reinforcement, hidden inside the visible design.
Which materials are suitable for large Circle Lights?
Brass, aluminum, and powder-coated steel work particularly well for large-scale installations. Natural materials such as rattan can also be used with an internal metal structure. Large glass designs are created from individual glass sections supported by a metal frame.
Is the light output adapted for large spaces?
Yes. We specify the LED output according to the size and height of the space, not just the diameter of the fixture. A Circle Light installed high in a double-height lobby or atrium can therefore be configured with greater output to remain visually effective from below.
What is required for installation?
Large Circle Lights require suitable ceiling support and space for suspension hardware. We typically recommend approximately 15.75–23.62″ (40–60 cm) of service clearance above the fixture. For monumental installations, ceiling load capacity should be confirmed with the project’s structural engineer.
Can you create multi-ring compositions?
Yes. We create custom clusters, cascades, and multi-ring compositions for staircases, atriums, hotel lobbies, and double-height spaces. Different diameters and suspension heights can be combined to create a composition tailored to the architecture.
What is the lead time for a custom large-scale Circle Light?
Architectural-scale pieces require additional engineering for structure, suspension, weight, and transport. This can add approximately 6–10 weeks to the standard custom-production timeline. For hospitality and commercial projects, we recommend involving us early in the design process.
